RESEARCH - VIRAL VECTOR (CONTRACT)

Adicet Bio is seeking a talented research associate to work in our Molecular Engineering group as part of a contract position. Tasks would include viral vector production using mammalian cells and vector purification. Maintenance of our production and inventory database is also required. Quality control of vector preparations using flow cytometry and qPCR will be performed. The position requires adaptability, a willingness to learn, excellent planning and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

 

Essential functions:

  • Maintenance of tissue culture cell lines
  • Transfection of cell lines to produce retrovirus
  • Purification of viral vectors 
  • Assessment of viral vector titers 
  • Preparation of media and buffers
  • Database entry and maintenance of Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling)

 

Education, Experience, and Skill requirements:

  • B.S. in biology, virology, biochemistry, process engineering or related field
  • 0 + years of experience in an academic research laboratory or biotechnology company
  • Hands on experience in mammalian tissue culture
  • Experience with viral production and purification preferred, but not required 
  • Experience in molecular biology and protein analysis preferred, but not required
  • Ability to prepare and follow SOPs
  • Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
