Senior Marketing Programs Manager, Corporate Marketing

The PacBio Corporate Marketing team is seeking a self-motivated, driven, and highly organized senior-level Marketing Programs Manager, with strong project management, communication, and leadership skills, to help drive the development and management of outbound marketing programs and campaigns in support of commercial objectives. This highly visible position reports to the Director of Corporate Marketing with responsibility for leading a small, but busy team of program managers. The selected individual must be capable of working collaboratively with project teams from various functions inside and outside the broader marketing organization and exhibit a high level of internal customer focus and service to successfully drive marketing communication programs under aggressive timelines, in a dynamically evolving and fast-paced biotechnology environment.

The ideal candidate must be a seasoned marketer and have a strong campaign development background specific to the challenges of healthcare, life science, and biotechnology, as well as a track record of initializing and executing best-practice recommendations. Qualified individuals are fast learners and have the ability to grasp PacBio's core technologies and target markets within genomic science.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct leadership and supervision of the marketing program management team
  • Ability to understand, translate, communicate, and coordinate intricate marketing strategy and programs
  • Possess a nimble and flexible mindset for developing, delivering, and sustaining multiple complex marketing programs with myriad moving parts
  • Work with various marketing teams (segment, product, field) to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks, then build a plan for project execution
  • Collaborate with and manage a wide variety of stakeholders including creative services, digital marketing, events, and external agencies, to deliver the tactical assets in support of programs
  • Ensure all program deliverables meet corporate, brand, and legal guidelines and quality standards
  • Oversee and facilitate planning meeting cadence, volume, and stakeholder involvement throughout campaign lifecycles
  • Identify resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects and assess progress throughout campaign lifecycles
  • Support and coach teams on project management methodology and best practice
  • Skillfully manage a high volume of programs simultaneously with rolling deadlines against competing priorities
  • Diplomatically manage ongoing expectations and influence all parts of marketing strategy and execution as needed
  • Anticipate dependency roadblocks and red flags and develop risk management solutions
  • Comfortable and fearless in communicating to management, core teams, and stakeholders on the status, risks, and mitigations required to keep programs on track and skillfully recalibrate as appropriate
  • Identify and implement key metrics and analytics, track and measure results, and gather insights to continuously improve successful program management development and execution

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in complex outbound marketing campaign program management
  • 7+ years of marketing experience working in the healthcare and/or life sciences and/or biotech space
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and mentor staff
  • Deep understanding of effective program and project management architecture, process, workflow, and execution
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with excellent time management
  • Sophisticated people skills with the ability to manage, interact and collaborate with cross-functional, geographically-disperse teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using a variety of project management software and tools
