We are seeking a Sr Specialist, Investor Relations ideally based at our Foster City campus. Reporting to the Director of Investor Relations, this candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the investor relations program. The role will require strong communication skills, ability to lead and drive project and process improvements, and an understanding of Gilead's products and pipeline.

Investor Relations draws broadly upon multiple disciplines, including finance, communications, marketing and science. We are looking for an extremely organized, detail oriented and motivated professional with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Contribute to internal deliverables for executives, such as the briefing sheets and product primers, summaries of analyst research and investor interactions, and competitive and product landscape overviews
  • Support the creation of materials related to the quarterly earnings call, including: investor presentations, fact sheet, Q&A development, financial back-up, post-event reporting, earnings press release, scripts and transcript reviews, as well as other ad hoc analytical requests
  • Contribute to both external and internal awareness and education projects by staying on top of market dynamics, the competitive landscape, and emerging scientific areas
  • Conduct on-going analysis to support proactive investor targeting
  • Oversee the master Q&A documents and product primers to ensure consistent, updated messaging and alignment across all deliverables
  • Lead internal team improvement processes, including but not limited to earnings, IR inbox, and Q&A preparation
  • Manage the team's internal site to ensure updated documentation in an organized system
  • Support ongoing team efforts including but not limited to educational lunch-and-learns, offsites, and development initiatives


Skillset:
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understands and interprets moderately complex financial statements and valuation models.
  • Must be able to independently write clear, concise and error-free documents.
  • Ability to lead meetings and projects; work cross-functionally; respond effectively to information requests; deliver clear, cohesive presentations; has excellent presentation skills.


Specific Education and Experience
  • A minimum 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Proficiency in Excel and creating Word and PowerPoint presentations required;
  • Experience in corporate investor relations is required;
  • Biotech, pharma, or life sciences experience preferred
