We’re seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join us in our mission to improve human health. Schrödinger (NASDAQ: SDGR) is transforming drug discovery and materials research through the development, distribution, and application of our advanced computational methods for biotech and materials industries. Used by bio-pharmaceutical and industrial companies, academic institutions, and government laboratories worldwide, our software platform can predict critical properties of molecules before scientists embark on time-consuming and costly experiments.

As a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, you’ll work in a collaborative environment to take on the challenges of a rapidly growing business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to use their experience to help create new functions and capabilities while building their understanding of the software and biotech industries.

What you’ll do:

  • Support annual and quarterly planning process for global sales and marketing organizations for metrics including bookings, revenue, annual contract value, royalties and operating expenditures
  • Provide financial modeling and reporting support to business partners and FP&A leadership
  • Conduct variance and trend analyses
  • Ascertain and communicate data from multiple financial systems
  • Review weekly/monthly imports of financial transactions
  • Work cross-functionally with the Sales team
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards in various systems

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other relevant field
  • A strong understanding of professional sales organizations and revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Approximately five or more years of previous Finance experience
