Statistical Programmer

Collaborating with our Medical Analytics (Biostatistics), Medical Affairs and HEOR teams, you will plan and execute statistical analysis, provide input into and align with the publication plan, and support HEOR analyses intended for payer and reimbursement needs.

In addition to programming statistical analyses and datasets, you will contribute to developing Medical Analytics Statistical Programming infrastructure including systems, standards and processes. Work with senior statistical programming colleagues to develop and continually enhance statistical programming standards.

Statistical programming using knowledge of CDISC standards to support Medical Affairs including analysis using the clinical database for scientific meetings, publications, and internal decision-making.

Statistical programming to support Health Economics and Outcomes Research including patient reported outcomes (including development/validation), HTA/reimbursement/value dossiers, and real- world studies.

Authoring parts of and/or provide significant input into the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) to comprehensively and unambiguously define the statistical analysis specifications, data derivations, and display shells to be generated in collaboration with key partners.

Performing and/or overseeing statistical analyses to generate tables, listings, and figures for use in publications/presentations and for internal purposes.

Ensuring quality of results through appropriate testing/validation and active review for completeness and accuracy including oversight of work packages outsourced to CROs (including developing and implementing a well-documented validation and/or oversight plan).

Contributing to development of standards within Medical Analytics including statistical programming position papers, data standards, analysis/display catalogues, and SAS macro libraries.

• Experience in designing and developing statistical programming within life sciences industry.
• Strong communication skills to understand/document the SAP requirements and explain/discuss implementation details of sophisticated statistical analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Worked with a wide range of interfaces utilizing strategic and operational skills combining innovative statistical programming skills with a strong sense of business acuity.

To be considered you required to have a MS in statistics or related subject area (or BS with at least 3 years of proven ability) with experience in statistical programming in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health related industries. Expert knowledge of statistical programming methods using SAS to solve statistical problems is needed. Experience in planning and executing statistical analysis by providing significant input in the SAP, implementing the SAP using SAS, ensuring quality via validation, and explaining implementation details.
