Job Details

The Associate Manager, Accounting will lead a team of two accountants and be responsible for the Company’s accounting related to fixed assets, leases, certain operating expenses and other tasks. In this role you will work with Finance, IT, Facilities, Financial Reporting and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to the Company’s accounting policies, provide accounting guidance, and assist with capital expenditure reporting and forecasting. This role will also be responsible for identifying, designing and implementing process improvements.A typical day might include the following:
•Ensure capital expenditures are accounted for accurately and in compliance with the Company’s accounting policy
•Manage the timely and accurate completion of the monthly accounting cycle for areas of responsibility
•Preparation and review of journal entries, supporting schedules, account analyses, reconciliations and variance explanations
•Responsible for ensuring that (i) effective internal controls exist and are adhered to and (ii) associated internal control documentation is prepared and/or updated on a timely basis
•Compilation and review of the financial packages for the monthly Controller and CFO meetings
•Participate in monthly Controller financial review meetings
•Prepare the 10Q and 10K financial statement notes related to fixed assets and leases
•Facilitate quarterly and annual requests from internal and external auditors and lead SOX walkthroughs
•Lead and participate in various quarterly meetings including CFO and departmental leadership
•Perform the annual review and update of the Fixed Asset and Lease accounting policies
•Responsible for the annual goal setting and performance review process for two direct reports, as well as their ongoing coaching and development
•Manage and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projectsThis role might be for you if:We are seeking a team player with strong leadership, project management and communication skills to join our team.

•In-depth accounting knowledge with the ability to apply it to “real world” accounting operations
•Experience with fixed asset and lease accounting
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical
•Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
•Big 4 Accounting experience preferred
•CPA preferredComputer Proficiency:High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required, specifically Microsoft Excel is required (financial functions, pivot tables, etc.).
