Director DE&I Sciences
We are seeking a leader for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) to join our Sciences team! The role will be responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing management of our global DE&I strategic framework at the functional level, as well as targeted enterprise level DE&I initiatives. The position will report directly to the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer and will have a highly integrated role with the Senior R&D Leadership Team at Regeneron.
A typical day as a Director DEI may include:
Supporting the execution of the Corporate Office of Diversity and Inclusion system deployment plan within our defined Science and Health equity strategies and business goals.
Helping to craft and sustain a respectful inclusive culture for R&D employees through partnership with R&D leaders.
Providing analytical evaluation of current DE&I initiatives and supporting the development of innovative DE&I programs with clear resources' mapping and proposals.
Developing strategic external DE&I engagement plans for R&D, finding opportunities and strategies to elevate and lead DE&I movement inside and outside R&D
Evaluating the R&D plans (annual assumptions / headcount planning, expansion planning, etc.) to ensure that DE&I is considered and centered in the design, content, and metrics. Review and make recommendations for improvement in existing people strategies, policies and initiatives including recruitment, retention and communications.
Coordination with functional level DE&I workstreams within the business to help execute strategy and tactics focused on the Health & Science equity work for DE&I.

Bring experience, thought leadership, advice, coaching, solutions and consultation to HR Business Partners, R&D leaders, DE&I champions and the Executive Diversity Council.
Are passionate to improve employee engagement in collaboration with the respective partners across the organization.
Can provide leadership and consultation to the R&D Leadership Team - addressing both challenges and opportunities in DE&I as they may occur.
Collaborate with all HR COE’s as the subject matter authority for the R&D business and can act as the DE&I leader representing the function across the enterprise; improving understanding and scaling of best practices.
Proven written and verbal communication skills, facilitation and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, including the ability to influence leaders, build relationships, and leverage resources within the function and across the organization to advance business strategies.
To be considered for this role you must possess a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree (Preferred). Experience and deep understanding of DE&I philosophy and approach in life sciences/ healthcare industry. Program management experience including team building, plan development, and project execution in life sciences setting (preferred). Understanding and experience with organizational change models. Proven ability to handle simultaneous priorities to remove obstacles and barriers to success. Computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience leading and executing diversity and inclusion plans. The ability to think strategically, synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic solutions that are forward-thinking and growth oriented. Strong executive consulting and client relationship skills.
