The Associate Director (Ass Dir) of Pathology will have DVM and PhD or equivalent degrees, board certification in Anatomic Pathology and extensive experience in the assessment of tissues from toxicology studies of drug candidates, especially large molecule (protein) drug candidates. The Assoc. Director will report to the Head of Pathology and have primary responsibility to manage Discovery Pathology operations in a variety of therapeutic focus areas (TFAs) including but not limited to: Inflammation and Immunity, Pain, Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Skeletal and Muscle, Ophthalmology, Metabolic, Cardiac and Genetic Diseases. The Ass Dir will also provide histopathology evaluation support and immunopathology oversight for GLP toxicology and PK studies of REGN molecules. S/he will be familiar with the basic digital pathology techniques and image analysis platforms, including HALO. In addition, s/he will be expected to develop interest in and help junior Pathologists develop skills in pathology of special senses to help support Regeneron’s growing portfolio of therapeutic molecules targeted at ophthalmic and inner ear indications.
