Breakthrough Fellowship Program – R&D Finance, Clinical Operations Finance or Tax 

This program is designed to enhance our pipeline of diverse talent of leaders. Applicants for the Breakthrough Fellowship Program 10-week internship and intend to pursue their Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), or Master of Public Health (MPH) degree consistent with the time requirements of the program. 

There are 3 positions for consideration in this posting - 2 within the Finance Business Office (Finance & Tax) and one within the Global Product Development (Operations). Apply to this requisition of you are interested in one or more of the following positions: 

1 - Breakthrough Fellow – R&D Finance  - This opportunity will support the R&D Finance organizations supporting the Global Product Development (GPD) and Worldwide Research & Development and Medical (WRDM) organizations which represent Pfizer’s R&D activities from early discovery, through commercialization. 

2 - Breakthrough Fellow – Global Product Development - Business Operations & Sourcing - organization helps enable clinical development, safety and regulatory leaders drive their business by facilitating timely and informed decision making through 1) dynamic resourcing, 2) integrated analytics and 3) sourcing strategies/contracting that safeguard Pfizer’s interest.    Resource and cost analyses to help business stakeholders forecast, measure, analyze, and manage R&D cost and opportunities for savings in clinical trial execution.

3 - Breakthrough Fellow – Tax Internship - Assist with the preparation of US based International Information Return Forms 5471, 8858, 8865 and various related work papers. Provide support for the International Tax Team for various projects relating to the federal income tax return.  Assist with form preparation using the web-based Thomson Reuters OneSource compliance software 

Qualifications 

  • Current Junior in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related coursework with a graduation date of Dec ‘22 or Spring 2023.  
  • Ideally in a discipline with exposure and experience with procurement, sourcing, clinical operations, legal assistance, or financial data analysis; advanced degree in relevant field desirable.   
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in cost or financial analysis 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) 
  • min GPA 3.0
