Management of Biological and Small Molecule samples for research. An integral part of Global BCOE’s (Biosample Centers of Excellences) that will be implemented as part of Biosample Management inititative. Work with both local and global sample management teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the efficient management of samples globally.

  • Work with an insourced managed service sample management team.

  • Work with external vendors/service providers supporting samples storage, management and testing.

  • Develop and maintain reasonable expertise in all types of sample management.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum [10] years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting OR Master’s Degree plus minimum [7] years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting OR PhD plus a minimum of [5] years of relevant research experience.

  • Willing to be hands-on and complete all the tasks involved in sample management.

  • Experience collaborating with and supporting project teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and to work independently on projects.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate to tangible and actionable plans.

  • DOT and IATA certified.

  • In depth knowledge of automated liquid handling processes and protocols.

  • Experience with sample management tools (example Titian Mosaic).

  • Able to supervise and work independently to ensure the success of the team.

  • Subject matter expert in workflows, SOPs, and overall sample management.

  • Prepares or requests required technical information needed for shipping (HTS codes, Finance forms, etc.).

  • Oversee registration of new samples.

  • Experience with biological samples and small molecules.

  • Some international travel may be required.
