The Preclinical Operations team is seeking a Senior Preclinical Operations Associate to join the team. With guidance, provides primarily operational Project Management support to Preclinical Development (PCD) and Drug Safety Pharmacometrics (DSP) cross-functional teams on assigned programs, including those involving external collaborators. May also provide operational PM support to functions within PCD and DSP.


As a Senior Preclinical Operations Associate, a typical day may include the following:


-  With guidance, provides operational Project Management support to PCD/DSP cross-functional teams for assigned programs and especially those involving external collaborators.

-  Leads development and alignment of PCD/DSP integrated cross-functional project deliverables, plans, timelines, resources and budget forecasts to align with the overall project plan. Ensures effective execution of project plan to enables completion of PCD/DSP activities within agreed timeline, quality and budgetary constraints.

-  Effectively interprets and communicates progress and variance against the approved plan. Identifies issues and provides guidance on resolution of risks, issues and obstacles.

-  Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication across PCD, DSP and Project Teams.

-  Enables and builds effective relationships to influence and gain cooperation of others.

-  May provide operational Project Management support to PCD and/or DSP function(s) as needed.

-  Independently ensures that PCO information systems are updated with timely, accurate and relevant information.

-  Proposes ideas on areas for process improvement, and, with guidance, facilitates development and implementation of solutions, tools or mechanisms to resolve the issue.

-  May lead implementation of process improvements of limited scope or complexity.

To be considered for this position, you must possess a BS/MS degree and 5+ years of related R&D operational support and/or project management experience. Provides input to the Team Leader to resolve any project or team issues. Ability to lead and facilitate development and alignment of project deliverables, plans and budget forecasts for the assigned function(s).
