Job Description

Job Summary

The Sr. Demand Planning Reporting Analyst is a role that entails planning, analysis, demand forecasting, inventory management and supply analysis to the US Commercial team and will be the liaison between Global Supply chain and other key stake holders. The Sr. DP Reporting Analyst will perform various functions, including quantitative analysis, cost benefit analysis, data mining and data modeling. This role will help to analyze demand and supply to ensure proper inventory placement driving better utilization and reduced returns. The Sr. Demand Planning Reporting Analyst will support the Seqirus US business utilizing dashboards and other display vehicles to share performance and highlight areas to improve.  They will be required to work across a global manufacturing network interfacing with members of the Supply Chain to analyze proper coordination of product supply. The Sr. Demand Planning Reporting Analyst will recommend improvements to boost performance and reduce costs. This person will help to influence strategies and concepts for improving the process and exploring technology advancement. Use of critical thinking skills to derive insights from the data, analyze trends and provide insights is critical to this role.  The SR. DP Reporting Analyst will draw on their Supply Chain experience to influence complex projects and share with many levels in the organization. Specific expertise is required to deliver this role successfully.  

Principal Accountabilities

  • Interface with Commercial Operations team identifying areas of improvement helping to influence projects and initiatives

  • Utilizing Supply Chain experience help to dive into complex projects and influence outcomes

  • Create and maintain business dashboards with key insights derived from the data. Communicate the dashboards with insights to our team and senior leadership.

  • Conduct collaboration meetings to assess the forecast accuracy, POS trending, effective inventory levels as well as shipment forecast utilizing the forecast optimization tool. Collaborate with customer team and Sales rep to present the results and next steps.

  • Make recommendations for technology solutions moving our company forward. Perform cost/benefit analysis.

  • Use critical thinking skills to derive insights from the data, analyze trends and provide insights.  

  • Proven ability to work independently to generate insights from data sets.

  • Recommend improvements to boost performance and reduce costs in the Demand Planning space

  • Utilize quantitative analysis to develop mathematical baseline and qualitative data to achieve with focus on analytical modeling, critical reasoning and process analysis

  • Document business processes and create work instructions related to Demand Planning Reporting activities

  • Create and support BI reports for Commercial Operations working closely with remote IT team. Support BI initiatives and ensure data accuracy on current BI reports

  • Recommend and support the team in testing software upgrades/changes for eSolutions

  • Effectively utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize problems in the supply chain and recommend alternate solutions.

  • Supports continuous improvement of existing processes and development of new processes, out of the box thinking.

  • Perform Ad hoc reporting for demand analysis for operations and other teams as requested.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Inventory Management or related field.

  • 5+ years in Demand Planning/Inventory Management role

  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures

  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good collaboration skills 

  • Must be a self-starter, self-managed, an effective team player and possess excellent analytical / problem solving skills High proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Power Point). Ability to create Excel spreadsheets utilizing advanced formulas and functions.

  • Power BI and Tableau experience.

  • Commitment to follow through

  • Accountability

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Six Sigma certification recommend but not required
