ROLE SUMMARY

The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&D organization in Andover, MA, to enable development of biological therapeutics in Andover, MA.  Within Analytical R&D the candidate will join the Project Progression & Biochemistry Group to help manage lab operations and logistics.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing routine lab operations including maintenance, tracking, and life cycle management of laboratory equipment.

  • Maintaining, ordering, and stocking laboratory consumables and interfacing with internal departments to ensure efficient laboratory operations

  • Monitoring of equipment alarm system and coordinating equipment preventive maintenance/repairs with asset management and scientific staff.

  • Assisting in general lab housekeeping.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with EHS, Facilities, Asset Management, and scientific staff on routine operations and on continuous improvement efforts for optimal operating efficiency.

  • Assist other laboratory areas as needed

  • Familiarity with a lab environment and lab safety procedures.

  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and/or general science a plus.

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

  • Work within time constraints

  • Engages in and supports culture of continual improvement through ownership of improvement for work processes, equipment and safe work environment

  • Ability to learn new tasks, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a high quality of data

  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow procedures

  • Strong organizational and time management skills and detail oriented

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a lab operations position

  • Basic math and computer skills, such as data entry, along with a high level of attention to detail

  • Understanding of equipment, instrumentation, and computer applications

  • High productivity and the ability to multi-task coupled with a low error rate

  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills within a diverse team setting

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requires occasional light lifting and periods of standing, sitting or walking, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and written communication.
