Summary

Gilead is seeking an experienced individual for end to end development of analytics and dashboards for R&D Quality and Compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to work within directly with internal customers to build analytic solutions to show data trends and solve business problems. The candidate will collaborate with our content matter experts and technology teams, while gaining a detailed understanding of proprietary internal and external data sets relating to audits, inspections, clinical trials, Quality Management systems, etc. This is an opportunity to work with industry leading datasets to provide new and meaningful analytics.

Key responsibilities
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders to support inspection readiness, audits, compliance oversight, staff training, and other quality and compliance-related activities.


  • Develop and maintain online platforms (e.g. Tableau, SharePoint) to provide real-time intelligence related to Gilead's quality and compliance activities (document management, training, audits, regulatory inspections, risk management).


  • Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions using Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Canvas Apps, Customized Apps, etc. in SharePoint Online.


  • Analyze, interpret and distill large amounts of information into key messages.


  • End-to-end development - Take ownership for the technical delivery of custom analytic projects.


  • Project scoping - Work with Leadership Teams and subject matter experts to capture and document data and dashboard requirements.


  • Design and build Tableau dashboards to meet internal customer requirements. A creative approach will be required for some projects, where a detailed understanding of Tableau would be a key advantage.


  • Data modeling - Use Alteryx to create a repeatable ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) and data model to serve data to Tableau dashboards


  • Build proof of concepts for internal customers before engaging in full end to end development of the final dashboard solution.


  • Portal delivery - work with internal technology groups (IT or Development Process and Systems) to embed Tableau dashboards into custom portal and provide the required functionality.


  • Documentation - Document end to end solutions including; data sources, Alteryx data model, Tableau dashboards and portal features.


  • Other responsibilities as required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding and ability to manipulate and join multiple diverse datasets


  • Ability to work in an agile environment whilst working with internal customers to deliver the final solution


  • Understanding of processes related to auditing and regulatory inspections a plus.


  • Excellent task and time management skills (e.g., project planning, prioritization)


  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to train others on use of data pipeline and visualization tools


Education and Experience
  • Intermediate/advanced Tableau and Tableau Server experience


  • Experience in connecting and working with different types of data sources, for example, SQL and APIs


  • Experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server is preferable


  • Experience building Office 365 solutions including Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps and SharePoint Online.


  • Experience publishing to portals such as SharePoint


  • Experience with, or understanding of, text mining techniques would be an advantage


  • Experience with data visualization and related best practices


  • Experience and comfortable with interfacing directly with internal customers


  • Experience in developing and generating quality system metrics/trending


  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a GxP related field and a BS or BA OR 5+ years of relevant experience and a MS.
