Admin Coordinator


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be primarily focused in supporting the broad oncology medical team with coordination of activities surrounding marketed products and early pipeline assets..

  • Handling multiple diverse calendars and scheduling meetings

  • Making domestic and international travel arrangements and preparing expense reports.

  • Maintaining up-to-date lists of teammates and one on one meetings

  • Coordinating meetings including room logistics, catering and equipment needs, arranging for guest speakers, including contracts, travel and venue.

  • Handling the administrative aspects of relationships with outside professionals and vendors.

  • Arranging ancillary meetings during major conferences and assisting with preparation of presentations and meeting agendas.

  • Renewing professional memberships before expiration

  • Timely registering for conferences, congresses and seminars

  • Providing backup support to additional departmental admins

  • Ordering office supplies and performing other administrative duties

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree and 2 years of administrative experience OR

  • High school diploma/GED and 4 years of admin experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years background in an administrative support role supporting large teams at different levels.

  • Amgen experience or has worked in biopharma industry.

  • Experienced and proficient with all current Amgen technologies and platforms.

  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional team members and effectively connect with internal and external business partners

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize projects of greater vitality and importance.

  • Discretion in dealing with information

  • Outstanding at prioritizing multiple calendars including coordination across time zones

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent travel and meeting planning skills

  • Experience providing support to staff

  • Effective, can-do attitude with a solutions oriented approach

  • Well-mannered, personable, teammate and skilled at remaining calm, under pressure.
