Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Senior Manager

The Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Senior Manager role within Global Development Operations (GDO) supports Amgen sponsored clinical trials with a focus on key programs. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will provide leadership, give to supplier related strategy and drive delivery of program priorities. They will also support our study teams and key partners to optimize clinical trial execution with our suppliers.

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will Lead strategy and oversight of suppliers for designated programs

  • Partner with key stakeholders to proactively secure high-quality suppliers in time frame needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key cross functional leaders to understand and translate business objectives and priorities
  • Liaise with governance leads to establish appropriate oversight of Amgen program portfolio with suppliers
  • Lead the development and implementation of program level standards and processes with suppliers as needed
  • Support study startup and conduct with suppliers potentially including activities such as sourcing and scope of work development
  • Partner with program leads to align across program execution
  • Establish communication plans both internally and externally
  • Develop performance measures to support oversight and provide visibility to senior management
  • Give to continuous improvement
  • Collaborates with compliance to support audits/inspections and inspection readiness.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience

OR

Masters degree & 6 years of directly related experience

OR

Bachelors degree & 8 years of directly related experience

OR

Associates degree & 10 years of directly related experience

Or

High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience

And

2 years of direct managerial and/or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA/BSc in the sciences or RN

9 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6 years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO or technical services supplier)

Experience at, or oversight of, clinical research vendors (CROs, central labs, imaging vendors, etc)

Technologist or work experience in relevant area (e.g., imaging, laboratory, device technology) and their application to clinical trials

Work experience in monitoring, quality control and auditing practices

Management experience of direct reports, including management level

Knowledge

Technical knowledge of the assigned area of focus including techniques and technologies

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

FDA regulations and guidelines, including 21 CFR Part 11

Project management skills

QA processes
