Working as part of the Fujifilm Diosynth (FDB) Transformation Center of Excellence, the Sr. Transformation Project Manager will project manage and/or play a significant role in the delivery of projects which are part of the FDB Global Transformation Project Portfolio (TPP).  This will involve key strategic and large matrix projects which include, to varying degrees, global, multi-site, single site, new site, significant third party involvement, and strategic external collaborations. The post holder will manage projects encompassing both the development of systems and the delivery of business change (non-customer facing projects) and business process improvements. 

To be considered for this role, qualified candidates MUST have the requisite years of experience in Project Management or Operational Excellence roles. Candidate must have demonstrated experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile tools and methodologies to deliver a variety of projects or demonstrated experience in managing the successful delivery of a variety of global or cross-functional and high value projects.

The TPP is a rolling multi-year portfolio of projects that enable achievement of the agreed FDB Business Mid Term Plan (MTP)/Long Term Plan (LTP), required for long term business success. The delivery arm of the TPP is the Transformation Center of Excellence

The ideal candidate will possess excellent influencing skills and have demonstrable experience in driving project completion and benefit realization, with the ability to resolve inter-dependencies across the company. Candidate must be skilled in the engagement and management of Sponsors, Stakeholders, and project team to influence and drive behaviors, as appropriate. MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Taking direction from the Transformation Center of Excellence Head of Transformation, Director of Global Business Change or Director of Operational and Business Excellence, lead or support the delivery of both strategic and operational and business excellence projects.
  • Follow the Transformation Center of Excellence ways of working to deliver projects on time, on budget and to specification
  • Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Contribute to good customer service by ensuring the seamless transition of a project from initiation, through detailed planning and design, to implementation, and closing
  • Use of process thinking and skill to develop clear and concise problems statements
  • Developing a critical path of key activities, providing planning support and identifying and managing dependencies across the plans
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities. Liaise with third parties to agree responsibilities for deliverables and track progress against milestones
  • Manage project budgets and perform day-to-day control of a project including preparing and presenting progress and issues to the appropriate steering committees
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored. Track and report on project delivery and progress, and identify and manage dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Provide estimates of workload and costs for activities and tasks within a project or sub-project 
  • Analyzing dynamic situations and issues, and managing stakeholder requirements. Working in a matrix-managed environment with competing change needs and drivers. Influencing a wide range of stakeholders (up to GLT level) to manage conflicting requirements, demands and priorities
  • Matrix-managing teams undergoing substantial change as part of the global transformation effort, and building collaborative and high-performing teams through this change.
  • Communicating across a wide span: engaging internal colleagues, external partners and business stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity of requirements, the positioning of proposed solutions and securing the buy-in to those proposed solutions at the appropriate level of the organization

 BACKROUND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Yellow, Lean, or Green belt trained from a reputable company or comparable training covering similar methodologies and tools
  • 5+ years' experience successfully leading Operational Excellence, global projects, or cross-functional and high value projects or equivalent experience line managing a team to deliver business milestones, with development plan to gain 3 yrs project delivery experience
  • Experience mentoring project team members or new project managers
  • Experience of using a wide range of project management tools and techniques consistent with lean, six sigma, and Agile methodologies
  • Change management experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working within a Biotech/Pharma organization. 
  • Experience working within a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization
  • Green, Black, or Master Black belt certification
  • Experience delivering training
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with relevant project management software (MS Project, etc)
  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • Ability to coordinate activities across the project team

FDBU works with technical data, technology and materials that are subject to U.S. export laws and regulations.
