Job Responsibilities:
  • Supports analytical method development for small molecule parenteral/ injectable drug products (purity/impurity by LC, particulate matter, sterility, etc) under supervision
  • Performs physical characterization of drug substances for parenteral drug products (thermal analysis, particle size, microscopy, XRPD, etc)
  • Executes routine testing to support formulation development (i.e., stability studies, physicochemical characterization) under supervision and within a team setting
  • Assists in troubleshooting instrumentation or test methods
  • May support investigation of root causes for atypical results
  • Accurately and timely documents work in laboratory notebooks, logbooks, and laboratory software
  • Proactively seeks out senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems
  • May author test methods, reports, and other required documentation
  • Participates in group meeting and presents results of work
  • Interprets data and draws conclusions under guidance of supervisor
  • May train new analysts in execution of analytical test methods or analytical techniques


Essential Education, Experience & Skills:
  • MS degree in Chemistry or Biology with 0+ years of experience, OR a BS in Chemistry or Biology with 2+ years industry experience
  • Strongest consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in parenteral drug product development
  • Experience with one or more of the following analytical techniques: chromatographic separations (RPLC, SEC, Ion exchange, chiral), mass spectrometry, parenteral characterization (osmolality, subvisible particles, pH, extractable volume, etc), solid state characterization (particle size, XRPD, DSC/TGA, etc)
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
