ROLE SUMMARY

Our focus is on patients and understanding the critical role our medicines play to produce better health outcomes. As a cross functional team of experts, we create and execute comprehensive patient access strategies through the integration of pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modeling activities. Your expertise and innovative approach will enhance the value of our medicines and the impact to patient outcomes.

You will be part of Pfizer’s dynamic Patient & Health Impact (PHI) team and will have the important role of managing health economics and outcomes research to generate data to demonstrate the economic and humanistic value of vaccine assets.  The outcome of your studies will provide economic perspective for product reimbursement strategies, vaccine technical review committees and regulatory agency submissions. You will work closely with cross-functional (e.g. Medical, RWE COE, Global Market Access, Clinical) and country teams. As an advisor and an expert, you will be able to build and leverage constructive relationships across the organization to achieve your division’s goals and objectives. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop innovative ideas, lead projects and develop plans that achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Lead the development of Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR) strategy to support the value of asset/s in the Vaccines business unit in close partnership with colleagues.
  • Incorporate humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trials across all phases of product development to build comprehensive trial-based evidence in line with overall medical strategy and access targets for the asset(s).
  • Lead the timely development of deliverables including Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), evidence blueprints, economic models, and innovative tools to successfully support global launch, reimbursement and access requirements, and VTC recommendations in conjunction with cross-functional colleagues and countries.
  • Assist Country H&V colleagues on any issues by providing advice or connecting with experts as appropriate.
  • Lead the development of appropriate data dissemination plans and communicate evidence generated through publications and conference presentations.
  • Support the strategic goals of the Vaccines Business to ensure optimal reimbursement and patient access
  • Remain fully compliant to all Pfizer SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Master's Degree in health services research, public health, epidemiology or health economics
  • 8+ years’ of demonstrated experience in healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment
  • Experience in Health Economics and Outcome Research (HEOR) and relevant related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities in a compliant manner
  • Strong methodological skills in clinical trials, epidemiology, economic modelling and real-world evidence
  • Capable of independently managing complex registry and non-interventional study projects
  • In depth understanding of health-related quality of life
  • Ability to partner with key members of medical and commercial teams constructively
  • Skilled in functioning within a matrix organization
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong team player

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD or MD) in related field and experience conducting HEOR research
  • Knowledge and experience in the relevant therapeutic area (Vaccines, respiratory diseases)
  • Advanced economic modelling experience (Dynamic transition modelling)
  • Experience with vaccines technical review committees' organizations such as ACIP, JCVI, STIKO and supranational organizations such as GAVI and PAHO is desirable
