Accountant

We seek a highly talented and motivated accounting professional to drive Adcentrx Therapeutics ground-breaking efforts in cancer biotherapeutics drug development. The candidate will join a new team of researchers in San Diego, with the goal of developing novel targeted therapeutics that can make a difference in the life of cancer patients.

The successful candidate will be a results-driven individual with finance and accounting experience. The candidate will be part of a cross-functional team in a highly collaborative and dynamic research environment working closely on a shared mission.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable duties including matching purchase orders to vendors' invoices in prices and quantity

• Verify and confirm receipt of material or services

• Enter invoices in accounting system for payments

• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies

• Assist senior management to develop, maintain, and implement current and new procedures and processes to enhance the finance/accounting workflow of the company

• Assist with reimbursement, payment request, monthly and yearly accounting close.

• Provide administrative and operational support to the company, including logistics, lab services, executive support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification

• Experience with AP and General Ledger preferred

• Knowledge of all aspects of accounting, finance, tax and treasury including technical aspects, such as US GAAP, and IFRS reporting requirement preferred

• Initiative, good communication skills and result orientation, problem solving skills, helpful and experience in fast paced working environment
