The Program Manager for Enterprise Excellence, Integrated Planning & Governance falls within the US Patient Services Organization.  This role will report into an Associate Director of Integrated Planning and Governance, Enterprise Excellence. This role will support all brands for US patient services and is responsible for strategic execution excellence through governance that enables organizational alignment, program and portfolio management, program management maturity, and stakeholder management.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Governance and Leadership

  • Manage programs through a defined work approach, manage dependencies across programs and create, maintain, and improve a decision framework.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the governance framework.
  • Lead and be accountable for the performance of the PMO launch team in delivery of Patient Services business programs.
  • Assure launch program teams are leveraging the established processes and guidelines defined within the Enterprise Excellence Compliance team. 
  • Assure launch program teams can track and report established quality KPI’s and adhere to program health checks as determined by Enterprise Excellence Quality Team. 


Program and Portfolio Management

  • Directs launch team to ensure programs meet organizational goals. Manage the program management methodology process, lead programs, and direct others in leading programs to on-time, on budget completion while delivering the value expected.
  • Assess when a program is off track and outline corrective action plans.
  • Establish and facilitate program management governance oversight.
  • Track and report established program KPI’s and communicate adherence to policies, processes, and requirements.
  • Provide direction to program managers and/or project managers throughout the project  lifecycle.
  • Create integrated program roadmaps, that identify dependencies and manage constraints.


Program Management Maturity

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to evolve program management practices, including process controls and metrics, change management, and work process evaluation.
  • Execute programs per the PMO launch playbook, including status reports (executive and team), RAID log, RACI, resource allocation (Staffing plans).
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Engage existing Enterprise Excellence partners at a program level, providing awareness to key programs, set expectations, influencing decisions, and maintaining good relationships.
  • Manage portfolio and/or program level stakeholders’ expectations, by supporting adoption readiness, enterprise integration, transition planning, and vendor management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Position requires bachelor’s degree and relevant experience. MBA, Project Management Professional certification and work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • 8+ years of program management and program governance experience with some situational leadership experience.
  • This role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, program management capabilities, financial management capabilities and an in-depth understanding of the patient services and pharmaceutical business.
  • The position requires human relations and administrative skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-leaders and leadership in Commercial, Business Technology Services, Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Manufacturing Operations, Global Medical Affairs, Promotions, Brand teams, and Global Patient Services.
  • Conflict resolution skills including persuasive management techniques required. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required. Ability to communicate concepts and problems in terms that are understandable to all levels of the organization, including C-Suite.
  • Experience managing teams of at least 3 people with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams, contractors and managed service providers. Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, manage, and motivate people to achieve high levels of performance. Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.
