Main Responsibilities

• Assists the preparation of products and documents for dispatch to customers

• Assists in the receipt and checking in of stock

• Ensures safe and appropriate storage and access of products within the warehouse

• Adheres to all relevant systems, processes and procedures at all times

• Ensures all applicable quality standards and procedures are complied with

• Develops knowledge of customer requirements, third party logistics companies’   capabilities

• Develops knowledge of supply chain and supply routes and import and export   requirements 

• Liaises with customers, suppliers, third party logistics providers

• Identifies and effects efficient, compliant solutions to barriers/problems

• Supports line manager and company’s Quality Manager with customer or   supplier audits

• Ensures relevant H&S standards, and security processes, are applied throughout   the warehouse

• Assists in the effective management of stock, rotation of stock and stock taking

• Assists in maintaining the necessary stock levels of packaging materials

• Use the company’s IT systems proficiently, the company uses Microsoft   Dynamics (Nav).

Key things we are looking for

• Previous warehouse experience essential, preferably in a pharmaceutical   environment

• Forklift truck licence (preferable)

• Experience of working to stringent quality standards

• Good level of literacy and numeracy, with good communication skills

• Good planning, organisational, administrative and record-keeping skills

• Ability to work effectively within team or individually

• Initiative and proactivity

• Competency in using common Microsoft IT platforms/systems

• Resilient, with ability to work effectively under pressure

• Motivated, enthusiastic approach
