Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be part of the Global Commercial Operations Information Systems (GCOIS) and the team is responsible for stability, scalability and maintainability of web platform which hosts 250+ user-facing websites across the globe.

As the Sr. Associate Software Engineer on the IS Website Platform Team based at Amgens Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. Our Tampa Capability Center provides crucial services that enable us to better pursue this mission. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a significant impact at one of the worlds leading biotechnology companies.

This role will be responsible for AWS integrations and development for the commercial Web Team. Develop and drive automation, improvement opportunities, implementation, and realization of world-class commercial Platforms and Product Teams. You will get the opportunity to collaborate with outstanding teams working on one mission together.

Responsibilities

  • Be an active and successful member of our agile teams, translate research needs into a prioritized backlog of actionable user stories, with a focus on continuous integration, continuous delivery.

  • Experience of Web Develop web development and solutions

  • Build and operationally support new infrastructure and analytics tools in a DevOps model using Python, SQL and AWS.

  • Build expertise in the broad set of data-related technologies, including Data Storage (AWS S3), Cloud Compute (AWS EC2), Highly Performant Data Warehouses (AWS Redshift), Data Engineering and Analytics (Databricks, Spark), Orchestration (Airflow, Jenkins), Request Management (Jira) and Mulesoft.

  • Craft high quality of user stories to optimize the backlog and efficiency of the data engineering team, handle and plan sprints, and sprint demo materials etc.

  • Perform full stack software design and development to build frameworks, applications, APIs, data pipelines, etc. to meet business use cases

  • Adhere and enforce standard methodologies for testing and designing reusable code

  • Foster a culture of innovation to encourage IS resources to evaluate and introduce new technologies that will allow business partners to meet their objectives

  • Actively engage with internal partners to analyze business needs, elicit/refine requirements, and recommend technical designs/solutions.

  • Experience in User Interface (UI) development using modern web design patterns (MVC/MVP/MVVM) and technologies REST, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Google Analytics

  • Atleast three years hands-on experience in AWS technologies (S3, EC2, Integration tools, Hadoop, Redshift, Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway)

  • Experience in analyzing large data sets from Veeva/Salesforce and/or SFDC Marketing cloud and/or IQVIA (IMS Health)

  • Understanding of SQL and hands-on experience retrieving data using sophisticated SQL queries.

  • Solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) software development framework and methodologies

  • Experience with software DevOps CI/CD tools, such Git, Jenkins and web platforms Apache and Sitecore

  • Prior experience with data tools like - Tableau, Google Analytics, databricks etc.

  • Exposure to repository/versioning tools such as GitHub

  • Passion for innovation and technology, and a "can-do" attitude

  • Healthcare Industry experience a big plus

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

Or

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience
