Reporting directly to the VP, Global Supply Chain, this role is responsible for deployment and governance of the S&OP program and deployment and governance of end-to-end planning processes and systems.  The Senior Director oversees and team of three individuals and is responsible for influencing a large number of internal stakeholders.  The Senior Director will be part of the Global Supply Chain leadership team.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

S&OP
•    Finalize the design and deployment of the S&OP program, including Demand Reviews, Supply Reviews, BU S&OPs, and Global / Executive S&OPs.
•    Drive effective operation and governance, including maturity assessments and continuous improvement.

End to End Planning Processes and Systems
•    Finalize the design and deployment of robust end-to-end planning methodologies across sites / BUs.
•    Partner with IT to finalize system strategy and roadmap.  Deploy systems and upgrades in line with strategic plan.
•    Lead Forecast to Finish (F2F) workstream in the Next Generation ERP Program.
•    Drive effective operation and governance of processes and systems, including maturity assessments and continuous improvement.

Financial & Resource Management
•    Manages budgets, operating expenditures, and human resources.
•    Develops capital expenditures, budgets, and projects plans.

Human Resource Management
•    Participates in selection of key leaders and in leadership development initiatives.  
•    Evaluates staff in accordance with expected results and the company’s values. 
•    Supports training and professional development of employees.

Culture/Climate 
•    Leads culture management and related initiatives.  
•    Builds culture that achieves employee engagement, efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, customer service, productive work relations, and sound communications
•    Manages and empowers staff by building a culture that attracts, sustains and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people devoted to our core values.  

Relationship Management 
•    This function will drive strategy, deployment, and governance of processes and systems in alignment with Site Supply Chain and cross-function partners such as Finance, IT, Quality.
•    Oversee select 3rd party contract and/or partner organizations and resources
•    Establishes sustained, productive, and effective relations with customers/suppliers.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
Education:
•    Possess at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or other related field, Master’s Degree preferred
•    APICS Certification desired

Experience:
•    Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated Supply Chain Management experience across all workstreams  
•    Employment history should show a progressive increase in management responsibility within a Supply Chain Organization
•    Prior Biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing experience preferred
•    Solid knowledge and experience in Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Integrated systems.

Skills:
•    The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication abilities.  Must be able to present complex theoretical concepts and empirical performance data effectively to a variety of audiences.
•    Must exhibit strong leadership skills with particular emphasis on relationship development
•    This individual should be a person of unquestionable integrity and a team player who has a track record of winning the confidence and trust of colleagues 
•    Excellent Analytical skills with a high attention to detail
•    Ability to effectively maintain a culture of continuous improvement is essential
•    Extensive experience with industry-standard software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
•    SAP experience including implementations / improvement initiatives
•    Comfort working in a matrixed environment
