Inflammatix, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to help us develop in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) product. This role is laboratory-based and requires exceptional attention to detail for the meticulous execution and analysis of highly complex experiments. Primary focus will be supporting technology transfer of RNA gene expression studies to an instrument-driven cartridge using state of the art digital technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in early stage development of a growing biotech company and contribute to a product that will help save lives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the supervision of a senior-level scientist to plan and execute validation tests for new assays
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results, troubleshoot and recommend improvements for assay optimization
  • Process clinical samples for gene expression analysis
  • Maintain a detailed research log and summarize work in research reports and presentations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree in Molecular Biology or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques including PCR, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and nucleic acid isolation and manipulation 
  • Experience with handling clinical samples under BSL2 lab preferred
  • Familiarity with genomics databases and basic bioinformatics tools a plus
  • Experience using statistical tools, such as JMP to design (DOE) and analyze complex data sets a plus

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
