Biofidelity is seeking an experienced Molecular Technologist to perform high-complexity CLIA/CAP laboratory testing in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate has good molecular biology technical skills, is collaborative, trustworthy with ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role reports to the VP of Clinical Operations and Clinical Laboratory Director.
Key responsibilities:
Efficient and quality execution of sample accessioning, processing and data generation for the Clinical Laboratory
Active involvement in the development and validation of new methodologies, including establishing novel workflows, evaluating new instrumentation and protocols
Maintain and update associated process documentation, participate in continuous process improvements and ongoing training
Perform equipment maintenance checks on a regular basis or as required by regulations
Understand and adhere to appropriate quality control procedures and regulations including health and safety guidelines
Seek to continually improve operations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail
Understand HIPAA and importance of confidentiality of patient data
Understanding and experience of molecular technologies such as real-time quantitative PCR or next-generation sequencing (NGS)
Ability to analyze and problem solve issues that might affect test performance
Ability to work individually with minimal supervision, as well as a part of the team
Experience of working with CRM, LIS and/or LIM systems
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a science subject
Previous experience working in a CLIA/CAP certified laboratory
