Regeneron's bioassay development group, in the Therapeutic Proteins Department is looking for a highly motivated Specialist to join our therapeutic protein discovery team. In this role you will be involved in the design, planning, execution and analysis of cell-based functional studies.

A Typical Day in the Role of R&D Specialist Might Look Like:
  • Develop and perform cell-based and/or enzymatic assays in support of the company’s Velocimmune antibody pipeline

  • Mammalian cell culture - maintenance, engineering and characterization

  • Transfection and transduction

  • Stable cell line generation

  • Flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry and immunoblotting

  • Primary immune cell isolation and characterization

  • Develop and optimize bioassays such as luciferase and enzymatic assays

  • Perform high-throughput screens using 96- and 384-well plate formats

  • Analyze data, trouble-shoot experiments, and meet timelines

  • Prepare results in powerpoint presentation or equivalent and present data effectively at meetings

  • Record experiments in electronic notebook

  • Communicate results to supervisor and team members

  • Present data at working group meetings

This role requires a BS or MS (BS 5+ yrs, MS 3+yrs) proven experience. Experience in mammalian cell culture (maintenance and engineering), molecular biology, multi-well assays, cell-based assays, ELISA, enzymatic assays, flow cytometry is required. A strong background in cell biology/ biochemistry/ molecular biology and demonstrated scientific curiosity and technical proficiency preferred. Experience in high throughput cell-based assays, immunology experience, antibody experience, primary immune cell culture and characterization preferred. Experience in cell line engineering and functional characterization is required. Experience in high throughput assays, immunology and/or immunoprotein characterization is highly desirable.
