We are currently seeking a Research Associate for our cell culture group to support hybridoma and recombinant expression antibody discovery platforms. In this lab-based role, attention to detail, ability to multitask and working both independently and in group settings will be critical for success. You will work directly with the cell culture group for a range of projects to produce, select and scale hybridoma cell lines, while also supporting recombinant expression platforms in a rapidly growing environment that is always eager to optimize processes. A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required and prior laboratory experience in cell culture and aseptic technique is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cell culture, including hybridoma and other cell line maintenance, scale-up and antibody production.
  • Mammalian cell transient transfections
  • Hybridoma generation and cloning
  • Management of antibody discovery project timelines and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline required
  • Prior laboratory experience strongly preferred, with priority toward experience in an industry setting
  • Mammalian cell culture experience with aseptic technique
  • Media and buffer preparation
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of antibody discovery processes, with a preference toward understanding hybridoma-based workflows
  • Ability to troubleshoot scientific processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
