Specific responsibilities include:
  • The Senior Analyst will provide analytics support across a broad range of existing and pipeline products as part of the US Managed Markets Contract Strategy & Analytics team.
  • This role will report to the Director of MMSA and work on a number of cross functional projects with exposure to various other functions across the organization, including but not limited to Commercial analytics, Marketing Sciences, Sales and Marketing, Payer marketing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Operations, Contract Compliance and IT analytics function.
  • Under supervision, provide and support routine data analysis, insights, and recommendations, with specific concentration on contracting related to managed care arena.
  • Performing data integrity and quality control checks; summarizing data using excel to help manager understand the results and make decisions for forward looking plans, including providing proactive and objective quantitative and strategic analyses to address critical business, pricing, and contracting questions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all key performance drivers, including formulary coverage, market starts, market share, payer mix and pricing.
  • Analyze and track key managed markets metrics (formulary access, payer restrictions, market share by payer segments, claims adjudication etc.) and assess impact of access on utilization.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring contracting changes and market dynamics to develop insights in key performance drivers to communicate to various stakeholders that will support pricing and contracting decisions.
  • Create financial models that will assist with analysis of various scenarios to support pricing and discounting decisions.
  • Work on operational excellence projects to improve existing processes by partnering with cross-functional teams. Examples include developing automated tools to track KPIs and automate existing reports.
  • Critical component of this role is to be able to work with limited/incomplete data to draw conclusions that are compliant and supportable, as well as being able to accurately and concisely communicate those conclusions to management.


Qualifications

BA/BS degree with 5+ years or MBA with 3+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills are required

Knowledge of US Managed care markets is a plus

Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) and Tableau

Working knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing functions

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to contribute individually and in team settings

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a deadline driven and multi-task environment.

Positive attitude and a strong work ethic required.
