Job Details

Postdoctoral Fellow, Skeletal Diseases R&D

We are seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position studying TGF Beta superfamily signaling. We will focus the project on two lines of investigation. The first to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which stoichiometrically identical complexes bring about different signaling outcomes, and the second focused on uncovering physiological roles of the ACVR1/Activin/Type II non-signaling complex in vivo. The postdoctoral fellow position is for early career scientist trainees to receive a rigorous scientific training at Regeneron under the auspices of a scientist mentor for up to four years. Fellows will be expected to conduct creative exploratory research that results in publications.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • In vitro assay development: Cell culture, cell line production and data generation/analysis.
  • Biochemistry: Expression, analysis and validating the bioactivity of recombinant proteins.
  • Molecular biology.

This role might be for you if:
  • You are versed in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cell biology techniques
  • You can work within interdisciplinary teams
  • A familiarity with animal models (animal handling, phenotyping) is desirable.
  • Experience with in vivo phenotyping of mice is a plus

The successful candidate is expected to generate, collect and present the scientific approach and experimental results from their experiments. They will be expected to champion their project independently by working as part of a team to explore research questions and carryout experiments to answer them. It is essential for this candidate to communicate ideas and data within the team at Regeneron. To be considered for this role you must possess a doctoral degree in a relevant subject area and be looking for your first postdoctoral training.
