Summary: Responsible for supervising operations and trainings conducted in the Manufacturing Training Area and for delivering On-The-Job training for the IOPS Biotech Production Specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Supervises all aspects of respective areas of operations.
• Supervises Leads and Biotech Production Training Specialists I-IV.
• May perform or participate inpersonnel management functions including time sheet submissions, scheduling of vacations, personnel development, disciplinary actions, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.
• Assist manager in creating training scenarios when necessary.
• Delivers Biotech Production Specialist training and provides individual assessment on the performance of each Biotech Production Specialist's aptitudes prior to deployment into active cGMP production facilities.
• Organizes and schedules the training plan for newly hired BPSs and organizes cross-training for existing BPSs.
• Processes necessary documentation to track individual's training progress and maintains records.
• Maintains space designated for Biotech Production Specialist trainings and is responsible for general maintenance of the area and coordinating any tasks with Facilities Management regarding equipment, utilities, preventive maintenance, etc.
• Coordinates acquisition of materials, resources and equipment necessary to achieve training goals.
• Delivers retraining to Biotech Production Specialists, when applicable, as a corrective action for deviations.

Education and Experience:
• BA/BS in life sciences or related field and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry, or AS/AAS Degree in Biotechnology/Biological Sciences and 3 years of related experience.
• Relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
