Manager of International Treasury, North America Region

The Manager, International Treasury, is a key role in the Treasury Operations group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage treasury process for Canada, Puerto Rico and OUS HQ companies including:
    • Manage cash forecasting, short-term liquidity, daily cash positioning, treasury payments
    • Optimize and manage short-term investments within investment policy parameters
    • Identify currency exposures and manage hedges to minimize revaluation risk
  • Jointly manage Global Intercompany Netting Program across all currencies and entities
  • Jointly manage Global Multi-Currency Notional Cash Pooling structures, including reporting and bank regulatory compliance
  • Manage Global Treasury Shared Service Center that centralizes global treasury support activity, including:
    • Ensure banks are prepared for significant transactions and ensure operational execution
    • Ensure multi-entity transactional step-plan completeness and accuracy
    • Prepare, execute, maintain and retain all intercompany loan documentation
    • Confirm, instruct and settle global foreign currency hedging and cash transactions
    • Manage all bank accounts (securities, cash management, corporate etc.), including bank letters, bank account openings/changes, bank account administration database and banking signatories
    • Administer all global and NAM e-banking portals
    • Manage Know your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Denied-Party Screening, tax documentation for banking, FBAR and other regulatory compliance
    • Manage contingent liabilities, including bank guarantees & letters of credit
    • Complete and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all critical activity
    • Ensure proper controls are developed and maintained including preparation of audit documentation for Sox, Internal Audit, External Audit and Tax
  • Managing six direct and indirect reports
  • Build and maintain a positive team working culture according to AbbVie’s “The Ways We Work.”

 


Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of Treasury/Accounting experience with 3+ years in a multibillion-dollar global treasury
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills required

Preferred:

  • Experience with a comprehensive treasury management system strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP Treasury system preferred
  • CPA, CTP, MBA or CertICM preferred
