Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment. How You Will Achieve It
The Plant Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) role functions as part of an integrated Team to provide Maintenance and Engineering support to on-going operational areas of the Franklin site. Through technical expertise and leadership, it serves as point of contact and accountability in the facilitation of proactive improvement activities driven to help minimize the plant assets life cycle costs and contribute to enhancing the safety and performance of the site.
Works directly with the site Maintenance Team Leader and is integrated with the Team of craftsmen and enablers who support the operational areas of the site.
Provides technical program leadership in the implementation of activities to maximize the maintenance-related uptime and operating efficiencies of equipment and facility assets.
Optimizes Preventative Maintenance (PM) strategies, updates & maintains associated planning and tracking systems.
Interacts extensively with the Operations Area in a business partner arrangement to achieve mutual production and uptime goals.
Functions as an integral Team member and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Master Planning, eManufacturing initiatives, & Capital Project upgrades for the facility.
Supports as well as leads planning and execution of capital projects for upgrades of facilities, processes, and automation infrastructure.
Provides subject matter expertise in supporting process and product related investigations.
Serves as Data Integrity Leader for the Site Services Department.
Serves as one of the Franklin site Automation Systems Administrators.
Executes CAPAs and provides input to equipment change controls to ensure a robust and capable solution.
Assists to ensure the equipment and facilities are maintained in a GMP compliant state at all times.
Serves as IMEx TPM Element Leader for both Tier-1 API & Tier-1 QC Process Centric Teams (PCTs).
IMEx SME for the creation & enhancement of Operator Care Job Aids and instructional documents.
Drives continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor's Degree, Engineering (Preferred Mechanical or Electrical)
2+ years of experience in GMP environment
Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis, Equipment Criticality Ranking, PM/PdM optimization, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
Understanding and experience with process automation systems
Strong knowledge and understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices {part of GxP}
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Excel
Nice-to-Have
6-Sigma Green Belt Certification
Knowledge of IMEX operating standards
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Possesses time management skills to enable goal setting and facilitation of multiple technical projects of relatively high complexity.
Maintains a high – yet balanced - level of energy that engages colleagues at all levels, communicates effectively – oral and written - with both site colleagues and upper management, fosters teamwork and collaboration.
Able to work in manufacturing environment, indoors and outdoors with some tasks requiring lifting (<25lbs).
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Monday - Friday work schedule with infrequent extended hours (including weekends) based on business needs. Minimum travel required.
