ROLE SUMMARY

An exciting role to advance Pfizer’s data capabilities across Research and Development by enhancing our ability to create, discover, integrate, and use high quality data products. Develops and prioritizes the strategic digital roadmap for the data mesh. Advances technical capabilities in metadata capture, terminology management, data catalog, and knowledge graph. Drives use of data standards across Research and Development to enable data access and integration. Provides consultation on guidelines and standards during solution formulation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategic roadmap and provide Architecture support for enhancing data capabilities in Research and Development
  • Ensure high quality data products are served up to the R&D community
  • Enhance and support data governance and stewardship programs
  • Develop and maintain reusable patterns for data management
  • Determine and standardize key (meta)data to enable data access and interoperability
  • Collaborate with third parties on the development and interoperability of data standards
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop data access and use policies
  • Provide guidance on data privacy & security, including methods for anonymizing, masking and tokenizing data
  • Provide consultation on guidelines and standards during data acquisition, data generation, and solution development
  • Research strategic trends, emerging technologies and innovative solutions and recommend Pfizer Digital’s response

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in computer science, information systems, scientific discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of technology experience
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical R&D process and solutions
  • Expertise with data quality and governance tools, data catalogs, data virtualization, knowledge graphs and terminology management solutions
  • Experience in terminologies, data standards and data models commonly used in R&D
  • Understanding of FAIR data principles
  • Knowledgeable about privacy and security controls
  • Familiar with the concepts of data mesh, data fabric and data products
  • Team-focused mentality with proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
