What You Will Achieve

You will be a member of Pfizer’s dedicated and highly effective quality assurance and control team. You will be responsible for analyzing chemical, biological or microbiological products to support our quality programs. Your contribution to environmental testing, utility monitoring, analytical testing, microbial identification and sterility testing will help Pfizer provide safe drugs to patients. Your understanding of QC (Quality Control) instruments will help us meet their accuracy specifications against established standards. You will also be relied on for setting requirements for the transfer of methodology from R&D.

You will participate in process improvement and collaborating with others by sharing experiences. Your skill and knowledge will help in making decisions that require choosing among limited options. You will be proactive in leveraging your team’ knowledge to learn and develop your own work products.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Manage own time and professional development, accountable for own results and prioritize workflow.
  • Perform checks on packaging lines and trains to inspect finished product for defects in assembly and variations in package or product quality.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} documentation practices in test reports, manufacturing and packaging batch records.
  • Understand and utilize sampling plans, recognize and report problems/adverse quality events to Senior Inspector.
  • Perform physical testing of components with supervision from a senior inspector by using hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Accompany Inspectors in performing sampling for laboratory control testing, stability testing, and other special purposes.
  • Operate some technical equipment with training and lead monthly In Process Batch Record Review.
  • Generate daily written shift reports for Quality and Production Management with clear and concise details of relevant issues.
  • Coordinate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the DMS (Document Management System).
  • Initiate event in Quality Tracking System and train Floor Quality Assurance colleagues.
  • Perform other duties related to the Quality Control department or special projects as assigned by management for increased productivity within department.
Qualifications

Must-Have

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years' experience
  • Thorough knowledge of required job skills in equipment operation and process glassware
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously multi-task across capabilities and functions and handle competing priorities and requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Nice-to-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with autoclave/glasswashers
