ROLE SUMMARY

SES is developing a new operating model to deliver select Procurement services from a network of Global Business Services’ regional shared service centers.

The Source to Contract Operations (S2C) global team will consist of regional colleagues based in four Pfizer locations (Tampa, Florida; Thessaloniki, Greece; San Jose, Costa Rica; Dalian, China) and collectively be responsible for the execution of operational activities in the area of Sourcing, Contracting, Savings, and Low-Value/Low-Risk Category Management.

The Manager role will be a key member of the Source to Contract Operations global team. The Manager will provide effective leadership, motivation, planning for the Source to Contract Operations team at the Pfizer location to ensure proper execution of a wide variety of sourcing and contracting activities.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a team of associates performing sourcing and contracting activities, including:

  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis on potential suppliers

  • Develop and Manage RFx events in SAP’s Ariba eSourcing system

  • Manage the non-disclosure agreements and confidential agreements between Pfizer and potential suppliers

  • Vet and validate potential RFx participants through a series of due diligence activities

  • Contract review and execution activities

  • Own contract storage and on-going maintenance through SAP’s Ariba Contract Workbench (ACW)

  • Develop savings form to measure the financial impact of Sourcing Event activities support internal/external audits for in-scope activities

  • Procurement analytics to monitor compliance and improve efficiency in procurement policies, processes, and tools

  • Collaborate with the Source to Contract Operations Global Lead in identifying process improvements/automation initiatives and developing sourcing and contracting processes for centralized and regional categories

  • Control and measure key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecard tracking, to monitor performance to meet the agreed upon service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Supports the Enablement of Procurement technology and roadmap

  • Supports and advances the strategic objectives of the Source to Contract Operations Global Lead

  • Evaluate team performance and conduct/propose job training for the development of the professional competence of the team

  • Accountable for overall organizational efficiency and ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high-quality standard

  • Develop strong relationships within his/her team and Source to Contract Operations stakeholders

  • Continuously supports and develops a collaborative team environment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • 6-10 years work experience in a Sourcing and/or Procurement role related to Source to Contract processes

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, or related field;

  • Excellent understanding of the end to end Procurement process from Sourcing to Contracting

  • Demonstrates team leadership skills with the ability to manage internal / external resources to achieve project objectives

  • Excellent project management, organizational skills and ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong ability to lead, challenge, and positively influence in a global team environment (includes coaching and staff development)

  • A team player who encourage collaboration, is cooperative and gains trust and support of peers

  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to produce high-quality, timely outcomes

  • Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate advanced use of analytical tools

  • Self-starter, works more independently, requiring limited guidance and instructions mainly for complex problems

  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills

  • Strong accountability and willing to be the champion for an idea or position;

  • Advanced  MS Office capabilities  (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with SAP Ariba suite, particularly:

    • Ariba eSourcing

    • Ariba Contract Workbench or similar Enterprise Procurement Software for Sourcing and Contract management

  • English language fluency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a team leader / manager within a Shared Service Center or Center of Excellence function

  • MCIPS or equivalent Professional Procurement qualification or certification

  • Sourcing and Contracting experience related to any of the following categories:

    • Office Equipment

    • IT Equipment

    • Marketing & Media Services

    • Packaging

    • Contract Manufacturing

    • Construction, Maintenance, Facility services

    • Professional Services (IT, Finance, HR, Logistics etc.)

    • Research & Development scientific services & Lab equipment

    • Direct Materials
