ROLE SUMMARY

Sourcing & Enterprise Services (SES) delivers world-class procurement capabilities to Pfizer, partnering with internal Pfizer customers to ensure they receive maximum value for every dollar spent with Pfizer suppliers.  We accomplish this by executing effective strategic processes, including category management, supplier management and sourcing projects, all supported by efficient procure to pay processes.   We add value by aligning Pfizer with the best suppliers, promoting continuous improvement in supplier performance and driving compliance with Pfizer’s intellectual property and privacy requirements.   We strive to obtain the right price for the right product or service.

SES is developing a new operating model to deliver select Procurement services from a network of Global Business Services’ regional shared service centers.

The Source to Contract Operations (S2C) global team will consist of regional colleagues based in four Pfizer locations (Tampa, Florida; Thessaloniki, Greece; San Jose, Costa Rica; Dalian, China) and collectively be responsible for the execution of operational activities in the area of Sourcing, Contracting, Savings, and Low-Value/Low-Risk Category Management.

The Senior Associate role will be a key member of the Source to Contract Operations global team. The Senior Associate role will be responsible for executing a wide variety of sourcing and contracting activities, utilizing available Procurement technology for procuring a diverse set of strategic categories critical to Pfizer operation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis on potential suppliers

  • With minimal supervision, develop complex RFx content execution in SAP’s Ariba eSourcing system in cooperation with Pfizer internal stakeholders

  • Manage and negotiate non-disclosure agreements and confidential agreements between Pfizer and potential suppliers

  • With minimal supervision, vet and validate potential RFx participants through a series of due diligence activities

  • Manage complex RFx events by providing direct support to external suppliers

  • With minimal supervision, negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for complex purchases

  • Support contract review and execution activities

  • Own contract storage and on-going maintenance through SAP’s Ariba Contract Workbench (ACW)

  • Develop savings form to measure the financial impact of Sourcing Event activities

  • Support internal/external audits for in-scope activities, acting as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for SES data collection

  • Perform Procurement analytics to monitor compliance and improve efficiency in procurement policies, processes, and tools

  • Participate in limited duration teams focused on continuous improvement

  • For designated low-risk, low-value categories and/or purchases, and in accordance with strategies developed by sourcing teams across SES, execute end-to-end sourcing events , including the development of Statements of Work (SOWs).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 years work experience in a sourcing and/or procurement related role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, supply chain, or related field;

  • Excellent understanding of the end to end Procurement process from Sourcing to Contracting

  • Experience working on diverse teams supporting regional / global operations

  • Strong communication and experience working in a team setting. Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all. A team player who encourage collaboration, is cooperative and gains trust and support of peers

  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to produce high-quality, timely outcomes

  • Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate advanced use of analytical tools

  • Self-starter, works more independently, requiring limited guidance and instructions mainly for complex problems

  • Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills

  • Strong accountability and willing to be the champion for an idea or position;

  • Advanced  MS Office capabilities  (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • English language fluency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SAP Ariba suite, particularly:

    • Ariba eSourcing

    • Ariba Contract Workbench or similar Enterprise Procurement Software for Sourcing and Contract management

  • Sourcing and Contracting experience related to more than one of the following categories:

    • Office Equipment

    • IT Equipment

    • Marketing & Media Services

    • Packaging

    • Contract Manufacturing

    • Construction, Maintenance, Facility services

    • Professional Services (IT, Finance, HR, Logistics etc.)

    • Research & Development scientific services & Lab equipment

    • Direct Materials
