The Company's technology will broaden the end user experience through improved data quality and simplified workflows to benefit discoveries and diagnosis in healthcare.

As part of our manufacturing team you will be responsible for performing sub-systems construction, calibration, validation, troubleshooting, instrument final integration and quality control for our sequencing instruments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·       Perform assigned manufacturing/instrument build tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
·       Hands-on assembly of optical and opto-mechanical components.
·       Perform technical functions related to laser and optical alignment.
·       Perform subsystem IQC, IPQC, and FQC on optical imaging systems.
·       Perform troubleshooting on components and integrated systems.
·       Hands-on testing and integration of systems - hardware, firmware, software, chemistry/reagents, and application components.
·       Perform instrument in process integration, and full system tests.
·       Perform final product QC procedures, inspection, and packaging.
·       Perform data collection and analysis.
·       Perform work order processing to complete products to inventory.
·       Interpreting and responding to quality data.
·       Understand instrument manufacturing workflow and create/review Standard Operating Procedures.
·       Support process improvement activities to meet production goals.
·      Other duties as assigned,


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
·       You will be a fast learner with proven ability to train others.
·       Strong communicator and collaborator.
·       Understand and collaborate in BOM management.
·       Experience with SOPs, BRs, WIs required.
·       Proficiency with Hand and Power Tools.
·       Ability to Comprehend Engineering Drawings.
·       Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment.
·       Problem Sensitivity.
·       Analytical Skills.
·       Reasoning Skills.
·       Respect for Safety Guidelines and Regulations.
·       System level testing and troubleshooting experience.
·       Start Up culture experience – comfortable in working with ambiguity and at a fast pace.
·       System level testing experience.
·       Experience in 5S and lean manufacturing techniques.
·       experience in working with process development engineers.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
·       Preferably 5 – 10 years of experience in the construction of diagnostic or DNA type systems.
·       Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) disciplines ( an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
·       Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
