Job Description

The Senior Associate QC role will join the Sample Management group supporting Amgens Quality program, providing daily support of Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing facilities and contract laboratory support at Amgen Thousand Oaks. Under general supervision, the role will provide support to Quality Control and Manufacturing and supporting organizations for staff in the execution of their processes, procedures, and use of quality systems.

Duties will include:
  • Sample Plan creation, templating, logging and compilation of packets needed to support manufacturing

  • Hosting cross-functional and cross-site meetings

  • Management support of supplemental, routine, and non-routine samples as required to support the manufacturing of Amgen products

  • Certificate of Analysis generation, Lot tracking for testing that supports disposition of product and raw materials

  • Document management

Other duties may include, support of Deviations, issue resolution, support in other areas of Sample Management and Business Analytics Group

The incumbent will also represent functional area quality for the Quality Control department in the execution of projects necessary to achieve departmental operational excellence goals and will work in a team matrix environment.

This staff member will be assigned to provide quality support during the day shift with some potential to support alternate hours depending on manufacturing needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Master's Degree

OR

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Quality experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Quality experience

OR

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Quality experience

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Ability to interpret and apply GMP knowledge

  • Advanced SM LIMS knowledge and Experience

  • Familiarity of Manufacturing processes and analytical methods used during processing

  • Familiarity with laboratory testing and requirements

  • Able to demonstrate project management and presentation skills

  • Independently collaborate with outside resources

  • Troubleshooting skills
