We are currently looking to fill an Associate Manager of Quality Systems position. This role leads the daily operations of the Quality Systems area by providing global, operational support for Quality Systems, leading and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives, and supervising personnel.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Lead all aspects of a team of Quality Specialists.
  • Counsels and mentor employees about work performance, while developing and delivering performance reviews.
  • Establish and communicate the group and individual goals for the team in accordance with site goals.
  • Partners, interacts and provides guidance to areas such as, Technical Training, QAA (Quality Assurance & Auditing), Pre-Clinical and Clinical areas relative to internal processes and GxP topics. Review and evaluate procedures, systems and processes, which impact business practices and compliance to regulations.
  • Establish, maintain and improve functional area metrics to assist the continuous improvement of quality and analyze them to assess the effectiveness and performance of associated quality system, e.g. CAPA, Deviations, Change Control, Training, etc.
  • Present data on a monthly and quarterly basis to senior executives for the Quality System reviews.
  • Perform QA Review and Approval for Tarrytown related Change Controls, CAPAs, and Deviations within electronic Quality System.
  • Lead and document investigations for QAA deviations ensuring identification of root cause and associated corrective/preventive actions
  • Provide direction and training to QAA personnel and customers on investigation, problem solving and root cause analysis techniques
  • Assist and lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Provide support and collaborate with customers regarding quality-related issues and procedures
  • Author, review, and approve standard operating procedures

We are looking for candidates with the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quality/engineering/science subject area and 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous people management and/or team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six-sigma). ASQ Green Belt or equivalent is desirable
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, statutes, regulations, rules, policies and procedures
  • Additional certifications (Certified Manager of Quality, Engineering, Black Belt, and/or Auditor) is also desirable
