What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role as an Executive Scout, you will build and maintain pipelines of future talents to join our Global Commercial Organization (GCO). The Executive Scout will report to the Executive Search Lead with a dotted line to the Talent Acquisition Lead for GCO and play a principal role in delivering Executive talent for the Sales, Marketing and Value & Access organization.In partnership with Executive leadership for GCO and Human Resources Business Partners, the Talent Scout will gain business insights to implement an executive scouting program which will support proactive succession plans and business critical talent needs as well as deliver executive talent advantages via relationship building, competitive intelligence gathering and industry knowledge.
Develop relationships by identifying and proactively engaging executive talent and assessing their suitability within the GCO organization based on succession planning, pipelining and business critical needs
Facilitate introductory and or exploratory conversations to understand career aspirations, potential timing of move, appetite/readiness for change and company culture fit
Focus on bringing underrepresented talent to Amgen to increase Diversity hires for GCO at the executive levels
Contact, build and manage relationships with executive referrals
Share market intelligence to help inform and shape GCO executive hiring strategies
Report on latest market trends, executive talent moves and industry knowledge
Engage in a variety of methods to attract executive talent such as social media platforms, professional associations, industry conferences and develop communication plan to maintain appropriate cadence and content for continued outreach
Experience with the latest technologies to support sourcing/scouting, such as CRM (SmashFly), HRIS (Workday), niche search engines, talent insight tools (e.g., Seekout & LinkedIn) and MS Office Suite

Doctorate degree OR
Masters degree and 2 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR
Bachelors degree and 4 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR
Associate degree and 10 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of scouting, recruiting, sourcing experience
10+ years experience in an executive scouting, recruiting or sourcing role
Executive search firm experience
Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience
Expertise in sourcing and strategic talent mapping skills using various tools
Able to demonstrate industry knowledge and or quickly learn about executive level positions across the Sales, Marketing and Value & Access areas of the organization
Executive presence, communication and presentation skills
Can gain trust and credibility quickly, maintain confidentiality and integrity
Experience with designing, implementing, and promoting a new process, position or capability
Creativity with both strategic solutions and tactical ideas
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate shifting priorities
Relationship builder with emotional intelligence and networking skills
Comfortable with ambiguity, self-motivated, persistent and drives for excellence
Attention to detail, organized and accountable
Ability to travel as business needs arise
Remote role, can be based anywhere in the US, must be willing to prioritize work hours during Pacific time zone as company is headquartered in California
