The Associate Director - Continuous Improvement will manage and drive strategic cross functional continuous improvement initiatives and culture within SS&P. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing: (1) the approach to strategic process improvements, (2) the capability of SS&P to systematically problem solve, (3) drive alignment on where improvements are needed, and (4) the accountability to implement.

A typical day may include the following:

· Manages and influence cross functional teams to remove silo's in driving operational excellence

· Leads the development of an operational excellence strategy

· Coaches and develops measurement methodologies and emerging techniques to meet business needs.

· Assesses operational data and functional reports to identify opportunites and measure results

· Through assessing the Art of the Possible takes ideas and nurtures them into bona fide improvements

· Trains and coaches others in the appropriate use of CI methodologies.

· Identifies and resolves unique situations of substantial significance related to continuous improvement

· Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations

· Uses independent judgement, sophisticated thought leadership and development skills to execute tasks and drive improvments with the sourcing team.

· Identifies and defines continuous improvement practices from both within and outside of Regeneron and ensure best practice adoption

· Informs and influences decision making at senior levels within the organization

· Provides coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports (if applicable) and provides leadership examples for the organzation.

· Be a change agent in a rapidly evolving environment

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess the following:
  • Requires a BS/BA degree and/or 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Working knowledge of sourcing processes, procedures, and technologies. (Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba, etc)

· Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

· Excellent verbal and written skills

· Ability to develop detailed business cases

· Ability to build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative environment with limited supervision
