BioSpace has been engaged to help our client, a privately funded biotech company in Cambridge to bring on a Cancer Immunologist. This PhD level scientist will join a global team working towards discovery of unique anti-cancer compounds for the treatment of targeted patient populations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated immunologist with a strong desire to succeed at the highest level. This individual will report to the Head of Biology and will lead the development of our tumor immunology platform in a team environment.
 Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead in vitro and in vivo immunology efforts to interrogate mechanism of action and target ID, support lead progression, and drive candidate molecule transition into clinical development
  • Independently design, execute and interpret in vitro and / or in vivo pharmacology experiments to explore therapeutic potential of drug targets
  • Interpret, present and report research findings at internal meetings and at external scientific conferences


  • PhD or equivalent in immunology 
  • 5+ years of post-doctoral and / or industry experience with hands-on expertise in immuno-oncology or T-cell biology
  • Experience with in vitro and in vivo immunology methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a record of energizing teams
  • Experience working with & managing contract research organizations preferred
  • Flexibility to accommodate to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
