Performs required testing (finished product, intermediates, in-process, environmental, or raw material) in accordance with CSL/Compendial methods and properly documents test results in appropriate records and LIMS computer system. Maintains knowledge of cGMP’s and industry standards. Works independently to ascertain trends and communicates findings accordingly. Demonstrates ability to resolve instrument and assay issues. Trains and/or mentors other departmental personnel.
Performs at the level of an Analyst II and meets the requirements of Analyst II Position
Maintains knowledge of Current GMPs and industry standards. Updates policies and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.
Trains and mentors newer analysts. Qualify analyst and confirms performance of test methods/sampling.
Assumes independent responsibility for special projects assigned by laboratory supervision.
Able to represent Laboratory on interdepartmental committee/team.
Participates in the ordering and qualification of laboratory equipment.
Able to perform proficiently in various complex testing areas. Mastered complicated assays.
Works independently to lead investigations.
Identify and resolve instrument/assay issues.
Seeks out additional projects and responsibilities and performs to completion.
Education: Minimum BS/BA related science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology)
Experience: Minimum of five years of laboratory experience or proven demonstration to perform in the role may be considered.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of quality systems.
