The Manager, Talent Acquisition will partner with leadership across the organization to develop and implement proactive recruiting strategies that deliver outstanding candidates and experiences across the entire span of a full cycle recruitment process. This individual will also be responsible for managing projects related to staffing and related areas of Human Resources. This position encompasses US and international staffing and reports to the Senior Director, Talent and Teamwork.

Job Duties:

• Designs and executes effective recruitment processes, practices, and standards that provide high quality experiences for both candidates and hiring managers and brings great talent to MaxCyte. Routinely reviews the process to optimize results.
• Partners with hiring managers to identify and clarify job specifications, develop detailed and accurate job descriptions, determine job specific behavioral competencies, and define recruitment strategies.
• Launches and leads searches. Manages job openings on internal and external websites and handles candidate activity within the applicant tracking system.
• Manages outsourced recruiting partner relationships to drive effective sourcing, implementation, and contract negotiations.
• Selects and screens qualified individuals, coordinates interviews and interview team meetings, and works with the hiring manager to facilitate the decision-making process.
• Interacts and collaborates with hiring managers, other members of human resources, and accounting and to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
• Measures and reports recruitment metrics for monitoring performance (e.g. time-to-hire, source-of-hire etc.).
• Participates in creating and maintaining the MaxCyte brand to provide an inside view of what makes MaxCyte a great company to work. Collaborates with other HR team members on special projects.
• Educates managers and interview teams to be effective interviewers though training on employment laws, interviewing, and evaluation techniques.
• Evaluates, plans, and implements improvements in MaxCyte's Applicant Tracking System.
• Works with HR and cross-functional team members to develop and implement projects to improve HR related business processes
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations and with company policies.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business or similar.
• 5+ years of experience managing all phases of the recruitment life cycle, preferably in the biotech / pharma industry. Strong leadership and management skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
• Demonstrated capacity to influence across the organization and build strong relationships with hiring managers and interview teams.
• Ability to set priorities and execute on commitments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, self-confident with the ability to act with urgency and passion to engage candidates and to proactively move the hiring process to completion.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills for effectively interfacing with all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Understands employment laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
