You would work primarily in the lab and participate in efforts supporting the development and characterization of therapeutics in the field of oncology.  This position requires a BS degree with 3-5 years of industry experience or an MS with 2+ years of experience.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Work on designing and executing experiments to support the efforts of the Platform Biology group across multiple areas of expertise with emphasis on enzyme activity assays, capillary electrophoresis, immunoassays, cell/tissue lysate preparation, and tissue sectioning
  • Independently design and conduct concurrent complex experiments
  • Independently develop new methods or techniques, troubleshoot experiments, and provide technical guidance and problem resolution
  • Utilize the literature to increase knowledge, guide experimental design, and implement improvements
  • Maintain vendor relationships, service contracts, and interact with CROs
  • Contribute to the training of others
  • Interpret and analyze data, helping to incorporate results into overall scientific projects
  • Prepare and present technical information at internal meetings, contribute technical information for group presentations, and lead aspects of a project

Education/Experience:

  • B.S. or M.S. in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience or equivalent preferred.

Professional Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with biochemical assay development and in vivo sample processing is required
  • Hands-on experience with enzyme activity assays, capillary electrophoresis, and/or protease biology is a plus
  • Proven track record of handling multiple high priority tasks in parallel and flexibility to align daily work with project needs
  • Excellent organization skills and familiarity with a fast-paced work environment
  • Highly skilled in all aspects of method development, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Open to and capable of learning new skills efficiently
