Job Summary:

This role will lead and have accountability for all Finance functional systems, including day-to-day system management. This will include overseeing financial master data management activities, directly supporting and delivering a wide range of systems enhancements initiatives and reporting capabilities on the FP&A reporting and planning platform, and partnering with the Accounting, Finance, and Procurement functions and the IT COE to lead key improvements for the financial, procurement, and reporting processes. This role will require a strong mix of core financial skills, SAP-specific business process and implementation experience as well as having deep experience in supporting and enhancing various financial planning and reporting tools. The role will partner with the Financial Leadership Team, functional leaders, and global peers to play an integral role designing and implementing global process and systems. This role will be responsible for leading the development of system training and championing the department's digital transformational initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Act as the Lead contact for any technology related issues for Finance. Work with DSI Accounting and Finance teams to review and understand business needs and recommend process improvement and ERP systems solutions to address these needs. Critically evaluate the business need for system enhancements and effectively manage the prioritization and approval of proposed projects considering the overall impact on the business. Work with the business to appropriately justify the need for IT enhancements or new applications that will increase productivity, improve the financial ERP functions and achieve the goals of the Finance department as it relates to system capabilities and cost. Champion financial digital initiatives such as a departmental RPA champion program to improve and enhance effective and efficient systems and processes.

Act as Regional business lead for implementations of global platforms (i.e., SAP) working collaboratively with a global cross-functional team. Become a liaison between the business, IT, and ERP implementation team. Clearly communicate implications and pros and cons of various system solutions to the working team as well as the business. On an ongoing basis, partner with financial leaders and with the global teams to design and make recommendations to enhance and implement a standardized and global ERP solution as part of a broader digital transformation program.

Provides day-to-day support for the Financial Planning and Reporting application (Planful). Partners with Financial and Business Users to coordinate, prioritize and implement key enhancement to improve the financial reporting and planning processes.

Oversee the financial Master Data processes and procedures including an approval guideline structure to support any requested master data changes as well as developing an effective process to communicate changes to the various functions impacted. Responsible for ensuring the master data accuracy and transactional data integrity in the financial systems. Support the federated master data model by adhering to defined corporate policies, procedures and standards for creating and maintaining master data.

Provide leadership for the financial system training programs to increase user adoption and optimize usage of the financial systems. Identify end-user training requirements and develop an ongoing training program that focuses on improving business processes.

People leadership – Coach, motivate, and develop staff to ensure high degree of service is maintained and staff remains focused on corporate goals and maintains a high level of engagement.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 10 or More Years experience in implementing and supporting Finance applications using SAP Finance and with Planful (formally known as Host Analytics). Solid Understanding of the overall Accounting / Financial Statement & Business Planning Process required
  • 10 or More Years experience in defining, scoping, and managing technology initiatives from a Finance and Accounting perspective required
  • 10 or More Years experience in leveraging technology to improve finance processes required
  • 10 or More Years experience in Project Management experience required
