Job Details
Amgen is seeking a Sr. Associate Finance to play an important role on the US Business Operations Consolidation Finance team in supporting Amgen's Gross to Net process. In this role, the Sr. Associate will work cross-functionally across Finance, Coverage & Pricing and Accounting teams to play a critical role in understanding, monitoring and communicating the financial impact of changes in our revenue and discount rate forecasts across our US product portfolio.
This role will provide financial, analytical and decision support, including:
- Supporting the cross-functional Latest Estimate of Discount Rates (LEDR) process by driving end-to-end quarterly LEDR activities and deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines to support month-end closing and quarterly forecasts and compiling and analyzing gross-to-net sales adjustments for Amgen's US product portfolio.
- Prepare deliverables that analyze, consolidate and communicate impact of LEDR outputs and variances to Finance stakeholders
- Assisting in the certification of operating effectiveness of SOX controls by ensuring proper documentation of the control evidences by cross-functional control owners
- Prepare periodic journal entries and true-ups stemming from and associated with LEDR, Spillover and WDA estimates
- Provide support for ad-hoc analyses related to US product sales gross-to-net forecast and actuals
- Facilitate and guide corroboration with internal and external auditors for LEDR process
Basic Qualifications
Masters degree
OR
Bachelors degree & 2 years of directly related experience
OR
Associates degree & 6 years of directly related experience
OR
High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or another quantitative field of study
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting or other related roles
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience preferred
- Proficient in enterprise planning and reporting tools such as TM1 and Tableau
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Able to take the initiative and work independently
- Strong communication and presentation skills
