The National Director, Thought Leader Liaison is a field-based, non-sales position passionate about leading a team of 8-10 Associate Director-level Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs). You will work closely with U.S Thought Leaders at Pulmonology Centers, Academic Institutions, and leading community practices to help ensure that coordinated and collaborative cross-functional resources are made available as appropriate. We are seeking an individual who will lead all aspects of Thought Leader (TL) engagement, executive encounters between key TLs and senior leadership, advocacy development, and collaborating closely with home office marketing. In this role, you will be a key member of the Respiratory leadership team and will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy and tactical execution. The Pulmonology National Director is responsible for building a national field organization suitable to support business goals in the competitive marketplace and executing the launch of new products within the Pulmonology portfolio. The attributes that are critical for success include leadership, act for change, collaboration, communication, planning, talent development, and the ability to direct strategic and tactical initiatives. The ND TLL will report to the Vice President Respiratory/Pulmonology who resides in the Immunology and Inflammation Central Business Unit (CBU).

A typical day may include the following:
  • Establishing your team from scratch, you will source, interview, hire, orient and train the Pulmonology TLLs
  • Strategically assess and identify critical analytics information required to successfully achieve goals
  • Guide and define the culture, structure, and strategic direction of Regeneron's Pulmonology TLL Team
  • Build a high performing team, capable of ensuring coordinated and collaborative cross-functional resources with Thought Leaders
  • Create a compliant environment which challenges, motivates and develops team members to reach optimum performance and potential
  • Set clear objectives, coach/ mentor, and assess performance and skill-level to develop future leaders within the Immunology and Inflammation central business unit and Regeneron
  • Provide strategic customer insights to the Marketing Leadership team to assist in the further development of the Pulmonology franchise
  • Work collaboratively with multiple matrix partners in developing and refining business plans to achieve brand objectives
  • Develop appropriate budget allocations and ensure the TLL team takes a well-adapted approach to resource utilization
  • Champion and lead the Pulmonology TLL team in a compliant manner
  • Build and cultivate collaboration with commercialization partner, Sanofi Genzyme
To be considered for this opportunity, your experience will include the following:

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or other advanced education/certification a plus. Specialty pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical/ clinical experience including three years of management experience in the Pulmonology/ Respiratory market or a similar subcutaneous, self-injectable biologic specialty market; Launch experience preferred. Proven leadership skills. 10 years of experience in general within the pharmaceutical/ biotech industry. You have the ability to present ideas effectively. You are a true project manager displaying outstanding analytical and planning skills. You possess the skill to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines. We are seeking someone who can present ideas to individuals or groups, focused on presentation needs of the audience. Strong organizational skills, project management, analytical skills a must. Ability to travel to meetings/ training/ programs as vital (50-80% travel). You must hold a valid US driver's license.
