We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager of Medical Communication Operations. The position reports to the Senior Director of Medical Communications and Operations. The location of the position is in Brisbane, CA.

Summary Description

The Senior Manager of Medical Communication Operations will work on a high-performing team responsible for Medical Information and Communications, Medical Review activities and Medical Operations across the portfolio (Women's Health and Prostate Cancer) for Myovant Sciences. This is a key individual position within the Medical Communications and Medical Operations team that will ensure professional standing and integrity with patients, healthcare professionals and the pharmaceutical industry through high-quality and aligned medical information and communication. The team member in this position will be accountable for aligning, implementing, and integrating systems, tools, technologies, and processes for Medical Affairs from an operations perspective, as it relates to the global contact center, investigator-initiative studies (IIS), medical education grants, publication management, and congress planning efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement and support the Medical Communications function from an operations perspective and drive the key activities of the Medical Affairs team and broader scientific organization
  • Provide expert input into the operations strategy to develop and implement the Medical Communication function to support Myovant in the areas of Uterine Fibroids, Endometriosis and Prostate Cancer
  • Manage vendors to support systems and projects beginning with the RFP process through initiation, implementation and reporting
  • Support systems, operational integration and ongoing performance of the Global Call Center Service
  • Responsible for the maintenance of various systems and tools such as: IIS and Grants portal and publication management tools.
  • Responsible for administration and maintenance of activities, updating and maintaining policies and procedures, documentation of team best practices and processes and creating/updating work instructions and job aids as needed.
  • Manage systems and vendors associated with Medical Communications and integration of content and call center flow to and from the VEEVA CRM. Create and implement new processes and/or systems to facilitate team efficiencies and output
  • Maintain and optimize the Medical Information/Communications intranet webpage content
  • Support the management of the Medical Affairs Repository platform (REMEDY)
  • Work with the Senior Director to ensure cross-functional medical alignment with the US Field Medical team, Medical Information & Medical Operations.
  • Define and develop appropriate functional processes, standards and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the position will interface potentially key opinion leaders and employees.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and deliver an excellent work product in a fast-paced, and rapidly growing dynamic company.


  • A minimum of BA/BS in a scientific discipline required or advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) preferred, with experiences in a medical operations setting
  • Training during career demonstrating an interest in personal growth and an ability to learn across therapeutic areas.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting with prior Medical Communication Operations experience
  • Prior experience as a Medical Affairs team member in the introduction of a novel new clinical product is highly desired
  • Experience in both large and small bio pharmaceutical companies considered a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with medical messaging

  • Ability to travel and attend key conferences including interactions with healthcare practitioners
  • Regularly required to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment
  • Close vision required for computer usage
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds
